Steve brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Orwell Mortgages, having worked in financial services for 28 years. He spent over 17 years in retail banking, holding a variety of roles with Lloyds Bank, before becoming a mortgage broker with Wolsey Mortgage Company in Ipswich. Over nearly three decades, Steve has built a loyal client base who regularly recommend him to others which has contributed to the success of Orwell Mortgages.
Terry O’Brien
Terry enjoyed a distinguished military career in aviation with the British Army before qualifying as a mortgage adviser five years ago. In the military, he specialised in attack helicopter engineering, managing close-knit teams and ensuring strict operational compliance. Terry’s military career instilled in him the core values of integrity and diligence, qualities that are absolutely essential when guiding clients through the mortgage process at Orwell Mortgages.

Sam joined Orwell Mortgages following a successful career as a high street bank manager for Lloyds Bank in Woodbridge and the surrounding areas. A local resident living on Grange Farm in Ipswich, Sam knows East Anglia inside out. Having been mortgage-qualified during his banking days, he transitioned to mortgage and protection advising where he felt his skills could directly benefit individual clients. With seven years of experience already under his belt, particularly dealing with new build applications, in the mortgage industry, he joins us as a specialist Mortgage & Protection Adviser. Born and raised in Suffolk, Harry has a great understanding of the local property market. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate the often-daunting process of securing a home and protecting their assets.
